The River Grille
The River Grille, also known by its old name – the River Street Grille – is located at 1263 River Street at the corner of Hyde Park Avenue and River Street in the heart of Cleary Square, has been owned by the Santana brothers since 1998 and offers “The Freshest Food in Hyde Park”.
The restaurant features a wide array of meals and is open seven days a week [Monday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday] for Dine In, Take Out or Delivery. Patrons have a choice from a large menu of fresh fish, pasta, specialty pizzas, sandwiches and salads. The most popular menu item is the buffalo chicken tenders, says owner Pedro Santana, “We make them using only fresh chicken”. The Santana brothers keep an ear on what customers want and if people are looking for something that’s not on the menu, they will figure out how to add it. Some of the best-selling items like the grilled chicken Caesar salad and mozzarella sticks were added to the menu after customer requests.
In 2005, The River Grille was named the Hyde Park Main Streets Business of the Year at the Boston Main Streets 2005 Awards Ceremony, hosted by Mayor Menino.
