Mayor Menino Celebrates ‘Dining on Main Streets’ in Brighton
Promotion Highlights Neighborhood Restaurants
Mayor Thomas M. Menino today visited Brighton to celebrate Dining on Main Streets, a citywide initiative launched by the Boston Main Streets program to promote restaurants in Main Streets districts and encourage residents to frequent restaurants in their own neighborhoods. Mayor Menino stopped by Boca Grande, Seoul Garden Restaurant, Corrib Pub & Restaurant, and Athan’s European Bakery/Café. Mayor Menino also cut the ribbon for new business, Boca Grande.
“Some of our best restaurants are right around the corner, in our neighborhoods,” Mayor Menino said. “I encourage everyone to frequent your local business district, have lunch or dinner at one of your neighborhood restaurants, and support your neighborhood commercial district.”
